The models, Ghrai Harrison and Renaldo, study here with you at Ailey and are also among the first Dizzy Feet Foundation recipients. *Zoe Cleland, the new Professional Pointe Shoe Fitter at Capezio Dance Theatre Shop, has been fitting pointe shoes for 10 years. A ballerina since the age of 4, Zoe trained at Westside Academy of Dance, a Balanchine based pre-professional program. From the age of 18, she worked behind the scenes professionally in commercial production and costume design. Now, Zoe is joining Capezio in their tradition of honoring the dancer and their needs. PERFORMING IN NEW YORK REPERTORY WORKSHOP 2010 Last month we began our spring Performing in New York Repertory Workshop: three months/11 weeks of rehearsals one night per week each Wednesday night: 9:15-10:30PM, under the watchful eye of Kat and her trusty assistant Taylor. Our first production of 2010 Performing in New York Showcases will run through March 21. Please mark your calendars for this wonderful Sunday of dance! Two performances: Sunday 3/21/2010 at 4pm Sunday 3/21/2010 at 7pm at The Ailey Citigroup Theater We will be presenting excerpts from"Paquita" including the polonaise, mazurka, and finale. Of course, this is in addition to the Sunday 5pm yoga class, which Kat wouldn't miss - no way!
